How the Mini keeps drinks cold
Fieldbar builds the Mini the same way as its larger boxes. Closed-cell foam insulates the walls, reflective paint on the shell limits how much heat it absorbs, an airtight gasket seals the lid, and a raised floor keeps the base off hot ground. Because it holds less ice than the bigger boxes, its rated cold time is shorter: up to 24 hours, against up to 50 hours for the Drinks Box 10L.
Who the Fieldbar Mini suits
- Work lunches and the daily commute
- A round of golf
- A solo beach, park or picnic outing
- The car on a road trip
- A personal gift, engraved with a name
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Light: about 1kg empty | Holds six cans, so it is for one person, not a group |
| Up to 24 hours below 10°C (Fieldbar’s figure) | Shorter cold time than the Drinks Box and Gin Trunk |
| Hard case protects what is inside | Fieldbar publishes no bottle count, so choose the Drinks Box for upright bottles |
