PFAS-free ceramic or PTFE non-stick?
If you want to avoid PFAS, choose the SMEG Cookware range: frying pans (FPF), the deep pan (DPF), casserole (CSF), saucepan (SPF) and wok (WOF) all use a ceramic non-stick coating made without PFAS, nickel or heavy metals. The red 50s Style pans (CKFF, CKFC, CKFW) use a three-layer PTFE coating and are made to match SMEG's 50s Style kettles and toasters.

Which pan size for your household?
- 20cm frying pan: eggs, a single steak, or cooking for one.
- 24cm frying pan: everyday cooking for two.
- 28cm frying pan or deep pan: family meals, stir-fries and one-pan dishes. The deep pan holds sauces and braises.
- 30cm wok: stir-fries and quick high-heat cooking.
- Casseroles and saucepan: soups, stews, rice and sauces.
Caring for SMEG non-stick pans
- Cook on low to medium heat. Non-stick pans do not need high heat, and gentler heat protects the coating.
- Use wooden or silicone utensils instead of metal.
- Skip aerosol cooking sprays, which can leave a sticky film on the coating. Use a little oil or butter instead.
- The pans are dishwasher safe, but a quick hand wash helps the coating last longer.
