- Gas electric (gas hob, electric oven): the most popular choice. Instant flame control on top and even fan baking below.
- All gas (SSA91GG): gas hob, gas oven and gas grill, for homes that prefer gas throughout.

Will a SMEG cooker fit? 60cm, 90cm or 110cm
SMEG freestanding cookers come in three widths. Measure the gap between your kitchen units before you choose a model, and check the width of your extractor hood too.
- 60cm: the Classica 60cm gas electric cookers and the Classica 60cm induction cooker (C6IMXT2). These fit a standard single-oven space in smaller kitchens, flats and townhouses.
- 90cm: the widest choice, covering the Classica, Portofino, Sinfonia and Victoria ranges and the 90cm induction cooker (CG90CIXT). This is the usual size for a family kitchen.
- 110cm: the Victoria 110cm (TR4110) in cream or black, for large kitchens that want a centrepiece range cooker.

Installing a SMEG cooker in South Africa
- Gas connection: in South Africa, a gas appliance should be connected by a SAQCC Gas registered installer, who issues a Certificate of Conformity for the installation. Insurers often ask for this certificate.
- Gas type: most South African homes cook on LPG from cylinders, not natural gas. Tell us which you use before you order, so we can confirm the right setup for your model.
- Electric ovens and induction: a gas electric or induction cooker needs a suitably rated electrical connection, wired by a registered electrician. Induction cookers usually need their own dedicated circuit.
